MERA - Fluid Condition Monitoring

More than half of all lost production is due to annual shutdown and unplanned maintenance of hydraulic fluid operated equipment packages.  Hydrasun has worked with our customers to find an intelligent fluid condition monitoring solution that reduces the requirement of unplanned shutdowns by managing the integrity of assets while, at the same time, lowering asset operating costs, improving equipment availability and reducing risk.

The MERA intelligent fluid condition monitoring technology is similar to systems used in marine and aerospace industry sectors where companies have already moved away from traditional maintenance concepts.  MERA monitors the health of systems to identify problems before they affect performance.

MERA IMS™

MERA IMS™

The MERA IMS™ (Intelligent Fluid Condition Monitoring System) offers technology for the condition monitoring of hydraulic assets, utilising predictive condition data algorithms to optimise asset maintenance and performance.

  • The IMS™ system is housed in a HUB along with the power supply that interfaces with all remote sensors.
  • A CCS (Component Condition Sensor) is used within the IMS™ system to provide raw data to the HUB.
  • The system uses a RSM (Reservoir Sensor Module) to sample oil from a reservoir in a continuous loop.
MERA iPACK™

MERA iPACK™

Hydrasun offers the MERA iPACK™ series of fully instrumented filtering units for the condition monitoring of hydraulic and gear oils which can be fitted for various hydraulic applications both onshore and offshore.  iPACK™ BASIC gives the user an easy to use tool for filtration and transfer/filling tasks.  The iPACK™ PRO has the same features and benefits as the basic version with the addition of sensor hardware to autonomously maintain a preset level of cleanliness.

MERA HPFS/FFU℗

MERA HPFS/FFU℗

The MERA HPFS/FFU℗ (High Pressure Filtration System / Fluid Filtration Unit) provides a patented method for circulation of pressurised fluids making it possible to continuously maintain these fluids in operational hydro-pneumatic systems - in particular riser tensioning and motion compensating systems.  The HPFS/FFU℗ solution has a proven track record of reducing maintenance costs and significantly increasing operational stability.
