ERP Test Analyst - Aberdeen (Ref: 1350)

We are recruiting for an ERP Test Analyst based in our Aberdeen headquarters and reporting to the ERP Project Manager, the ERP Testing role involves collaborating with the ERP Analyst to design and execute test cases. The primary focus is to ensure that products meet specified requirements, are free from defects, and align with business objectives.
About the role:
Software Testing: Conduct testing of software, modules, and business processes during implementation and upgrades, managing lifecycle transitions effectively
Test Scenario Development: Analyze requirements specifications to create and execute test scenarios. Work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to ensure alignment with the desired "to be" state
Vendor Collaboration: Interface with software vendors to align and map vendor test cases with internal testing requirements for comprehensive coverage
Quality Assurance: Perform software testing as part of quality assurance, ensuring alignment with corresponding business processes
Test Strategy Ownership: Take ownership of test strategy, design, and execution. Supervise shared testing resources and develop individuals for effective testing
Testing Approach Standardisation: Support the establishment of common testing approaches across projects
Collaboration with ERP Project Team: Collaborate with the ERP Project team to evaluate and select appropriate testing approaches and tools. Focus on Functional (Unit, Integration, System, Acceptance) and Non-Functional (Performance, Security, Usability, Compatibility) testing
Test Environment Provisioning: Collaborate on the requirement, design, and provision of test environments to support effective testing processes
Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
- Degree or equivalent experience in suitable IT discipline
- Software testing in an ERP environment including the design and supervision of test activities
- A track record of achievement in both ERP upgrade / implementation projects with respect to software, module, and process testing
- Test modelling, documentation, and analysis.
- Ability to convey test detail and outcomes at all business levels
- ERP and associated software testing
- Test analysis and process design
- Excellent presentation and written / verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build organisational rapport.
Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
- Relevant certification
- Understanding and experience within ERP upgrade / implementation projects, in the context of test analysis, definition, and execution
- Experience of engineering, manufacturing, and distribution IT
- Use of products associated to software testing.
